WHO WORE IT BEST?

Amber Rose, Megan FoxAmber or Fox?
It's a First lady face-off: Role model Michelle Obama and sexy supermodel and songstress Carla Bruni-Sarkozy. One likes to bare her arms, the other - well, back in the day she bared it all.

Obama once again had a fashion tête à tête with Carla Bruni-Sarkozy on her second major visit to France. The American and French First Ladies both looked radiant in white, attending a D-Day Ceremony marking the 65th anniversary of the June 6, 1944 allied landings in Normandy, northwestern France.

Good things come to those who wait! These Christian Louboutin Nitoinimoi boots made their debut in countless September issues and had millions of shoe lovers all over the world saying “I need them“!

Well, now you can have them and you won’t have to spend $1200 to get them. Go Jane has a very similar suede and pLeather version for less than $30 that comes in black, brown, tan and even red! And if you buy them, leave a comment and let me know how they fit…I’m curious to know if they’re as painful as they look!

Look For Less: Lovely Louboutin

by CHEAPCHICA11 on NOVEMBER 2, 2009

I spend last weekend in New York City with my sweet husband to celebrate our wedding anniversary and the one thing we both love to do while we’re in the city is shop…yes, I am a lucky girl!

While we were at Saks I tired on the Louboutin Feticha (above in black) and fell in love, unfortunately my husband did not agree…he said they looked too “smushy”! I think he was referring to the short toe box which IMO is fantastic b/c it makes your feet look tiny so if you’ve got a big foot, there shoes will give the illusion of a very small foot!

Anyway, I left with dreams of all the outfits they would compliment so you can imagine how excited I was when I saw these Fawson shoes at Aldo. They come in black leather, grey suede and tan suede and retail for $90 but I suspect they’ll be on sale in a few weeks so hold off… if you can resist!

Nonetheless, these shoes are such a great “inspired by” version of the Feticha and the perfect pump for work or play!!

Rihanna

Rihanna is back! After seeing the singer at Glamourmagazine's Women of the Year Awards last night, we're certain that she's ready to reclaim her throne as the fiercest dressed in the fashion game. Ri-Ri glammed it up big-time in a dramatic ivory Stéphane Rolland couture gown that looked like a piece of art. Even her blond pompadour looked quite elegant!

The gorgeous star, who frequently rocks runway looks on the sidewalk, easily pulled off the dress's elaborate origami pleating. But she wasn't just honored for her stunningly bold style; she was also recognized for bravely speaking out against domestic violence.

"This year, we saw a different face of Rihanna," said supermodel Iman as she presented the 21-year-old with her award. "She's an indelible image of worldly pain and now, more than ever, I am more impressed with her honesty and courage." We are, too!

Katy Perry
Style Shout-out

What a difference 365 days make. At last year's MTV Europe Music Awards,Katy Perry hit the carpet in an eye-catching (literally!) Jean Paul Gaultierdesign. Sure, quirkiness is commendable, but you want people to look at your face, not the face on your dress.

This year, the singer got it right in a nude creation straight off Jenny Packham's spring runway. The feathered skirt was festively fun, and the nude color guaranteed the focus was on Katy's bright eyes and glossy lips. And instead of an expected peep-toe, Katy flaunted her girlie style with a metallic version of theLouis Vuitton ballet-inspired heels Leighton Meesterdebuted at this year's Met Gala.

Lady Gaga

No, Lady Gaga did not dress as a Marc Jacobsmodel risen from the dead for Halloween. This is actually what the singer wore to accept her Stylemaker award at the Accessories Council Excellence (ACE) Awards.

So what's the message? Throw on the craziest things you can find and you'll be rewarded for it? Apparently.

But Lady Gaga is starting to bore us with her in-your-face getups. She made underwear as outwear so popular that it became a major spring trend on the runways. The only difference between the Marc Jacobs lingerie she wore on last night's carpet and the look shown on the catwalk was the explosion of talcum powder.

Then there's the extreme afro, another one of Jacob's eccentricities from spring fashion week. Remember the Louis Vuitton show? The Erickson Beamon lace face is also very LV, circa 2008.

Basically, the only part of Gaga's outfit we did like were those John Galliano colored pearl heels.

Maybe next time she'll wear a simple, ladylike dress with understated jewelry and shock us all.
